As a Journalist, a Minister, and a Lifelong Learner, I am trained to look at the systems that govern life. In America, those systems are currently in a state of catastrophic “parallax”—the image we are sold of a unified, free nation does not match the raw data of the lived experience.

The Biological Lie of Race

The Genetic Reality: Welcome to America, where we are taught that “all men are created equal” and where modern science has proven there is no biological basis for “race” in humans—that we are one single, interlinked species—yet we continue to build entire legal, social, and economic hierarchies based on the amount of melanin in a person’s skin.

The Stolen Foundation: Welcome to America, where we stand on soil we took by force and treaty-breaking from Native Americans, then tell the descendants of those original inhabitants to “go back where they came from” or “respect the law of the land.”

The Hypocrisy of Heritage: Welcome to America, where we discriminate against Black and Asian citizens whose labor built the transcontinental railroads and the Southern economy, while celebrating “pioneer spirit” that was subsidized by government land grants and ethnic cleansing.

The Mathematics of Disposable People

The Surplus Citizenry: Welcome to America, where we have 330 million people but only 164 million to 170.5 million jobs. We are a nation where nearly 160 million people are technically “surplus” in a system that defines your right to eat and have a home exclusively by your employment status.

The Productivity Gap: Welcome to America, where worker productivity has skyrocketed since the 1970s, yet real wages have remained flat. You are being “optimized” like a piece of software, producing more wealth for your employer every year while your own purchasing power evaporates.

The Debt Engine: Welcome to America, where we tell people to “pull themselves up by their bootstraps” while simultaneously charging them 20% interest on the “bootstraps” they had to buy on credit just to get to a job that doesn’t pay a living wage.

The Wealth K-Curve: Welcome to America, where the top 1% now controls over 31% of all household wealth—the widest gap in three decades—while the bottom 50% are told that “inflation” is the reason they can’t afford eggs.

The Retirement Lie: Welcome to America, where we have a “booming” stock market that 90% of the wealth from is owned by just 10% of the people, while the average worker’s 401k is just a gambling account for a retirement they will never actually reach.

The Medical & Scientific Dissonance

The Vaccine Paradox: Welcome to America, where we have developed mRNA technology that can literally eliminate cancer and stop global pandemics, yet we have a populace that claims vaccines cause autism based on a debunked study from a disgraced doctor who hasn’t practiced in decades.

The “Sanctity” of Life: Welcome to America, where the “Right to Life” ends at the birth canal. We will spend millions in legal fees to protect a zygote but won’t spend ten cents to ensure that same child has lunch at school or a home that isn’t a tent in a parking lot.

The Obesity-Hunger Paradox: Welcome to America, where the poorest people are often the most obese, not because they are “lazy,” but because the government subsidizes corn syrup and processed chemicals while making a fresh head of lettuce a luxury item. We are starving and overfed at the very same time.

The Work-Life Death Grip: Welcome to America, where we are told that “hard work” is the only path to success, yet the hardest-working people in the country—those working three jobs just to pay rent—are the ones most likely to die in poverty.

The Healthcare Lottery: Welcome to America, where we have the most advanced medical technology on Earth, but we are the only “developed” nation where a single medical emergency—like a cancer diagnosis or a major surgery—is the leading cause of personal bankruptcy.

The Purity Trap: Welcome to America, where people will protest a mask for “oxygen deprivation” while living in cities with air quality so poor it causes permanent lung damage, and drinking water from infrastructure that still contains 19th-century lead.

The “Socialism” for the Elite

The Billionaire Safety Net: Welcome to America, where “Socialism” is a dirty word until a bank fails or an airline mismanages its billions. Then, suddenly, the taxpayer is the “silent partner” in every corporate failure, while remaining a complete stranger to every corporate profit.

The Military Handout: Welcome to America, where we “don’t have the money” for high-speed rail or universal preschool, but we just signed off on a trillion-dollar defense budget to protect a “global order” that most Americans can’t afford to participate in.

The Farmer’s Irony: Welcome to America, where politicians romanticize the “independent family farmer” while handing 70% of agricultural subsidies to the top 10% of massive corporate monocultures that are currently poisoning the very soil they claim to love.

The Educational & Infrastructure Failures

The Zip Code Destiny: Welcome to America, where we claim “education is the great equalizer,” yet we fund schools primarily through local property taxes, ensuring that a child’s quality of education—and their entire future—is decided by the wealth of the neighborhood they were born into.

The Degree Trap: Welcome to America, where we demand a $60,000 degree for a job that pays $40,000 a year, and then call you “irresponsible” for taking out the loan the system forced you to sign.

The Crumbling Future: Welcome to America, where we spend $15 billion to add a single lane to a highway that will be congested again in six months, while our bridges are rated “structurally deficient” and our public transit is treated as a “welfare program” rather than an economic engine.

The “Christian” Nation: Welcome to America, where we claim to follow the teachings of a man who fed the poor and healed the sick, yet we actively vote against the very programs that would do exactly that.

The Legal & Civil Parallax

The Right to Bear Arms: Welcome to America, where it is okay to carry a firearm for personal protection—until you support a political party or movement that I do not.

The Protest Dichotomy: Welcome to America, where “Free Speech” is a shield used to protect hate speech, but a sword used to cut down students protesting for human rights on a college lawn.

The Border Wall of Hypocrisy: Welcome to America, where we want to build a wall to keep out the very people who harvest the food we eat, clean the offices we work in, and provide the labor that keeps our “inflation-adjusted” prices from spiraling out of control.

The Tracking Paradox: Welcome to America, where we are terrified of a government “chip” in our arms, yet we voluntarily carry high-resolution cameras, microphones, and GPS trackers in our pockets—and pay a monthly subscription fee for the privilege of being tracked by corporations.

The “Small Government” Bedroom: Welcome to America, where we want the government “out of our lives,” unless the government is needed to monitor what happens in a private bedroom, a doctor’s office, or a library’s “restricted” section.

The Digital Repair Law: Welcome to America, where you “own” your $1,200 smartphone, but you are legally a criminal if you try to open the case to fix the battery yourself.

The “Freedom” of Incarceration: Welcome to America, the “Land of the Free,” which holds the highest per-capita incarceration rate on the planet—turning “liberty” into a commodity sold by private prison corporations.

The Veteran Gap: Welcome to America, where we spend billions on “Defense” to create veterans, but “cannot find the budget” to house them, treat their PTSD, or keep them from dying by suicide at a rate of 17 per day.

Editorial Conclusion: The Stitches Are Failing

When you analyze these facts—the 160 million job gap, the biological myth of race, the $27,000 family healthcare premiums—you realize that America isn’t a country anymore; it’s a private equity firm with a flag. We are a nation of individualists who demand conformity, and “freedom-lovers” who are obsessed with what our neighbors are doing behind closed doors.

As a Journalist for The Stanley Garland Citizen, my job is to point at the flickering neon letters and tell you the sign is broken. We are living in an illusion. We can’t fix a foundation that we refuse to acknowledge is crumbling.

Introduction: The Circularity of the Void

The traditional understanding of sanity operates on a binary scale. At one end lies the “sane” individual, anchored by social norms and predictable sensory input. At the other lies the “insane” individual, whose internal map no longer aligns with the external territory. This linear model, however, fails to account for the phenomenon of recursive clarity.

When a conscious mind is subjected to a transfinite environment—one devoid of traditional time, social feedback, or sensory limits—the initial reaction is often a total breakdown of the ego. This is the stage of chaos. Yet, chaos is an exhausting process for a complex system. Just as a physical system seeks the path of least resistance to conserve energy, a mind trapped in a state of perpetual dissonance will eventually “tire” of the effort required to remain fractured.

The transition that follows is what we define as the Paradox of Transfinite Sanity. It is the moment where madness becomes too monotonous to sustain. When the mind can no longer find novelty in its own confusion, it begins to organize the surrounding void. It stops fighting the lack of structure and begins to perceive the underlying mathematics of existence.

In this state, sanity is not regained; it is transcended. The individual does not return to the simplistic “normalcy” of their peers. Instead, they achieve a state of recursive equilibrium—a sanity so absolute that it appears indistinguishable from the madness it replaced, yet operates with a clarity that is purely objective. This work aims to map the architecture of that transition and the ethical imperatives that naturally arise when one perceives the universe through a lens of transfinite logic.

The current federal classification of cannabis as a Schedule I controlled substance is not merely a legal relic; it is a direct contradiction of modern biological science and an enduring symbol of a racially motivated political strategy. To claim that a plant with proven neuroprotective, antibacterial, and anti-seizure properties has “no currently accepted medical use” is to ignore a mountain of peer-reviewed evidence. If we are to be a society guided by reason and equity, federal legalization is the only logical path forward.

I. The Neurological Frontier: Molecular Engineering of Neurogenesis

For nearly a century, medical dogma asserted that the adult human brain was a static organ. This was shattered by the discovery of neurogenesis in the hippocampal dentate gyrus. Research published in The Journal of Clinical Investigation and Nature Reviews Neuroscience has demonstrated that the endocannabinoid system (ECS) is a primary regulator of this process.

The Biochemical Pathway of Growth

Cannabinoid receptors are G Protein-Coupled Receptors (GPCRs) that initiate complex intracellular signaling waves when bound by ligands like THC or CBD:

CB1 Receptor Architecture: Primarily located on presynaptic terminals, CB1 receptors couple with G{i/o} proteins. When activated, they inhibit the enzyme adenylate cyclase, leading to a reduction in cyclic AMP (cAMP) levels. This specific suppression triggers the MAPK/ERK (Mitogen-Activated Protein Kinase) pathway. This signaling cascade has been shown to stimulate the proliferation of neural stem cells, effectively providing the “code” for the brain to manufacture new cells.

CB2 Synergy and Differentiation: Once thought to exist only in the peripheral immune system, CB2 is now known to be present in the central nervous system. Activation of CB2 receptors further promotes the differentiation of these stem cells into functional, mature neurons, ensuring that new cells are not just created but integrated into existing neural circuits.

Neuroprotection and Mitochondrial Repair: Unlike alcohol or nicotine, which cause neural atrophy, cannabinoids act as a buffer against oxidative stress. By stabilizing mitochondrial function—the “powerhouse” of the cell—cannabis is being studied as a primary defense against neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s. It doesn’t just “protect” the brain; it provides the biological building blocks to maintain its plasticity and structural integrity over time.

II. Clinical Efficacy: Managing and Curing Epilepsy

Perhaps the most undeniable proof of the plant’s medical utility is its impact on seizure disorders. For many patients, cannabis is not just an alternative; it is the only effective treatment.

Anticonvulsant Mechanisms: Cannabinoids modulate neuronal excitability by regulating the release of neurotransmitters. CBD, in particular, has been shown to interact with the GPR55 receptor and TRPV1 channels to reduce the excessive “firing” of neurons that leads to seizures.

The Epidiolex Precedent: In 2018, the FDA approved Epidiolex (a purified CBD extract) for the treatment of seizures associated with two rare and severe forms of epilepsy: Lennox-Gastaut syndrome and Dravet syndrome. The federal government currently finds itself in the impossible position of maintaining marijuana as a Schedule I substance (no medical use) while simultaneously regulating an FDA-approved drug derived directly from it.

Life-Saving Results: In clinical trials, some patients experienced a near-100% reduction in seizure frequency. By blocking federal legalization, the government is effectively denying thousands of American citizens access to a botanical compound that can manage, and in some cases functionally cure, life-threatening neurological electrical storms.

III. The “Superbug” Shield: Apoptosis and Antibacterial Efficacy

The federal government’s refusal to acknowledge marijuana’s medical utility is increasingly absurd in the face of its efficacy against some of the world’s most dangerous pathogens.

1. The Cancer Equation: Inducing Programmed Cell Death

Cannabinoids demonstrate a “selective toxicity” that standard chemotherapy often lacks. Through CB1 and CB2 signaling, cannabis can induce:

Apoptosis: The upregulation of the synthesis of Ceramide, a pro-apoptotic sphingolipid. This triggers Endoplasmic Reticulum (ER) stress, leading to the activation of the p8/TRB3 pathway, which effectively “turns off” the survival signals in tumor cells.

Autophagy: The plant can force cancer cells to digest themselves by inhibiting the AKT/mTORC1 pathway, a primary driver of tumor growth and survival in aggressive cancers like glioblastoma.

2. Punching Holes in MRSA

In an era of antibiotic-resistant “superbugs,” compounds like CBG (Cannabigerol) have shown the ability to eradicate MRSA (Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus) within 60 minutes. It disrupts the bacterial lipid membrane and “biofilms”—the sticky shields bacteria use to resist traditional medicine—offering a tool that the federal government’s current scheduling prevents from reaching the public.

IV. Delivery Ethics: Why Edibles are the Gold Standard

While the plant’s chemistry is miraculous, the method of consumption is a matter of toxicology. The “lung-rocking” damage of cigarettes is due to combustion—the burning of organic matter which creates carbon monoxide and tar.

For those seeking clean medicine, edibles are the superior choice. When ingested, THC passes through the liver and undergoes first-pass metabolism, converting it into 11-hydroxy-THC. This metabolite is significantly more potent and crosses the blood-brain barrier more efficiently than inhaled THC. This “Liver Transformation” provides systemic, long-lasting relief without the pulmonary pollutants and respiratory irritants associated with smoking or vaping.

V. A Legacy of Control: The Racial and Political Origins of Prohibition

To understand why a medicinal wonder was criminalized, we must look past health and toward power. The prohibition of marijuana was a calculated act of social engineering.

The Tax Act of 1937: Harry Anslinger, the first commissioner of the Federal Bureau of Narcotics, famously used “Yellow Journalism” to demonize the plant. He rebranded “cannabis”—a term used in pharmacies for decades—as “marijuana” to give it a “foreign” sound, specifically targeting Mexican immigrants and Black jazz musicians. His rhetoric was explicitly racist, claiming the drug made “white women seek sexual relations with Negroes.” He also claimed it caused a “blood lust” that led to violent crime, despite no clinical evidence.

The Nixon Doctrine: In 1994, John Ehrlichman, a top advisor to Richard Nixon, admitted that the “War on Drugs” was a tool to disrupt Nixon’s two main enemies: the anti-war left and Black people. He stated: “We knew we couldn’t make it illegal to be either against the war or black, but by getting the public to associate the hippies with marijuana and blacks with heroin, and then criminalizing both heavily, we could disrupt those communities. We could arrest their leaders, raid their homes, break up their meetings, and vilify them night after night on the evening news.”

VI. Military Research: Performance and Protection at JBLM and Beyond

The hypocrisy of federal policy is most evident in military research. Installations like Joint Base Lewis-McChord (JBLM) where my mother was stationed for most of my life as a field medic and the Edgewood Arsenal have long studied cannabinoids under the guise of “biomedical defense” and “soldier resilience.”

The JBLM and Tactical Research Connection: Throughout the mid-to-late 20th century, research was conducted on how cannabinoids could mitigate the effects of chemical agents and nerve gases. Studies explored the ability of CBD to act as an anti-convulsant against organophosphate poisoning, a common threat in chemical warfare. The government recognized that the ECS could be “pre-primed” to protect the nervous system from irreversible damage.

The Siler Report (1933): In the Panama Canal Zone, Colonel Joseph Franklin Siler found that cannabis was not habit-forming and recommended its removal from the list of restricted substances.

The “LaGuardia Report” Paradox: Despite the military’s own data showing that cannabis use among soldiers did not lead to moral or physical decay, the federal government chose to bury these findings in favor of political narratives. The research conducted at these bases effectively used the plant to solve the very medical problems (seizures, neurological trauma) that the government claimed it could not treat.

VII. Indigenous Heritage and Botanical Sovereignty

We must respect the botanical history of this continent. While the “Peace Pipes” of many Indigenous tribes traditionally utilized sacred tobacco or herbal kinnikinnick they did on rare occasion use Marijuana, the use of plant-based medicine is an ancient right.

Medicinal Traditions: Tribes such as the Cherokee and Blackfoot have long traditions of botanical mastery. Indigenous cultures across the Americas adopted cannabis after its post-colonial introduction, integrating it into their pharmacopeia for its analgesic and anti-inflammatory properties.

Botanical Rights: Criminalizing a plant that provides “the building blocks of life” is an overreach that violates both scientific truth and cultural heritage. Sovereignty includes the right to cultivate and use the earth’s flora without federal interference, especially when those plants are integral to physical and spiritual health.

VIII. The Economic Mandate: A $200 Billion Opportunity

By 2026, the U.S. cannabis industry is projected to reach nearly $47 billion in annual revenue, despite federal obstruction. If legalized federally, the total economic impact is estimated to top $200 billion by 2030.

Metric

2026 Projection

Total Economic Impact

~$123.6 Billion

Full-Time Jobs Supported

425,000+

Tax Revenue Potential

$25+ Billion

Public Support

87% (Any form of use)

Federal legalization would allow for standardized testing, interstate commerce, and the removal of the “280E” tax burden that prevents small businesses from thriving. It would shift billions of dollars from the black market into public infrastructure, schools, and scientific research.

Conclusion

The federal government is currently standing on the wrong side of history, biology, and justice. We have a substance that can heal the brain, kill cancer, and fight superbugs, yet we keep it locked behind a classification reserved for the most dangerous, useless substances on Earth. It is time to end a war that was always about race and corporate greed, and finally embrace a policy that reflects the reality of the 21st century.

Introduction: The Invisible Wall

There is a fundamental isolation in the human experience. We are locked behind a singular set of eyes, processing the world through a private internal monologue that never stops. This creates a natural, albeit dangerous, illusion: the idea that we are the protagonists of reality while everyone else is merely part of the scenery. When we see a stranger in distress or a news report of a distant crisis, that wall of isolation often prevents us from feeling the weight of it. If we cannot feel their pulse or hear their thoughts, are they truly as alive as we are?

In the modern digital landscape, a Discord server is often the beating heart of an indie game’s brand. For developers like Duality Beyond Studios or EternityDev or any emerging studio or hell just any community like SpaceGameJunkie’s, these spaces are not just chat rooms; they are high-stakes PR environments where community sentiment translates directly into market longevity. However, there is a growing crisis in digital governance: the rise of the “Shadow Hierarchy.” When a studio abdicates its community leadership to a decentralized group of volunteers, they aren’t just outsourcing labor—they are outsourcing their brand’s sovereignty.

The Failure of Automated Due Process

The first casualty of over-leveraged moderation is usually due process. Many high-traffic servers rely on bots and rigid SOPs that favor speed over accuracy. We see this most clearly in the “Instant-Reject” appeal culture. When a user is caught in a conflict, the system often flags the reaction rather than the incitement.

As a professional in PR and Marketing, I view every unexamined ban as a failure in Customer Lifetime Value (CLV) management. If a loyal player is framed by a bad actor and then silenced by an automated script, the brand has essentially fired its own advocate. In the intelligence world, we understand that a signal is only as reliable as its context. Community moderation that ignores context isn’t “keeping the peace”; it’s pruning the population without an audit trail.

The “Weakest Link” Theory

A community policy is a legal and ethical framework, but in practice, that framework is only as strong as the person hitting the “ban” button at 3:00 AM. Volunteer moderation comes with a unique set of risks:

The Bait-and-Switch: Sophisticated bad actors know how to “game” a moderator’s training. They send threats in disappearing DMs or use “algospeak” to incite a public reaction. When the target snaps, the mod—seeing only the public outburst—completes the bad actor’s work.

Power Assertion as Performance: For some, moderation becomes a tool for social dominance rather than safety. When a mod asserts power for personal satisfaction rather than policy enforcement, they become a PR liability that can lead to “revenge reviews” and community fracturing.

Reclaiming Digital Sovereignty

To protect the integrity of a project, developers must treat community management with the same technical rigor they apply to their code. This means:

Auditing the Auditors: Regular reviews of moderation logs to ensure rules are applied evenly, not emotionally.

Human-Centric Appeals: Moving away from “one-click” rejections. If a user claims a frame-up or a threat, that case requires a human investigator, not a bot.

Documentation Standards: Emphasizing attributed evidence over “mod intuition.” As a Journalist, I know that if it isn’t documented, it didn’t happen.

When we prioritize control over communication, we don’t build a fortress—we build a vacuum. And in the vacuum of a banned community, the only thing that grows is the noise of those we chose not to hear.

For two decades, I have navigated the intersection of media and technology. Today, I am moving beyond the role of an observer to contribute a new piece of architecture to the global imaging community. I have officially released a defensive technical disclosure for a Dual-Sided BSI-CMOS Image Sensor with Integrated Microfluidic Thermal Management.

The Problem: Physics vs. Perception

Current 360-degree cameras rely on multiple sensors mounted back-to-back. This introduces a “parallax gap”—a physical distance between optical centers that makes seamless stitching nearly impossible for objects at close range. Additionally, stacking high-resolution sensors in small bodies creates extreme thermal density, leading to noise and hardware failure.

The Solution: A Unified Silicon Substrate

The architecture I am proposing utilizes a single-wafer design with active pixel arrays on both opposing faces. By using Back-Side Illumination (BSI) and Through-Silicon Vias (TSVs), we can create a sub-millimeter distance between sensor planes, effectively eliminating the stitch line.

To handle the heat, the design integrates etched micro-channels directly into the silicon. By circulating a dielectric coolant through these channels, we can remove heat directly from the center of the sensor “sandwich,” enabling higher frame rates and sustained performance.

Why Open Source?

I believe that the future of cinematography and mobile imaging should not be locked behind restrictive patents that stifle small-scale innovation. Therefore, I have released this disclosure under the CERN Open Hardware Licence Version 2 – Permissive (CERN-OHL-P). This allows any engineer, student, or filmmaker to use, modify, and build upon these concepts, provided the original authorship is acknowledged.

You can read the full technical disclosure and access the permanent record via the DOI link below.

View the Publication: https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.18343333

This weekend, the shadow of federal overreach met the light of local resistance. In an unprecedented show of solidarity, over 700 residents across Puyallup and Milton joined the “ICE Out for Good” national mobilization, transforming local streets into a battlefield for the soul of American democracy.

The spark for this fire was the January 7 killing of Renee Nicole Good, a 37-year-old mother and poet. Good was shot in the head by an ICE agent in Minneapolis while pulling her car away from federal officers. Despite official claims of “self-defense,” the people of Pierce County have seen the bystander videos, and they are rightfully calling it murder.

Puyallup: A High-Water Mark for Local Dissent

The day began at 11 a.m. at the intersection of 35th Avenue SE and South Meridian on the 10th of January. What began as a vigil by Indivisible Puyallup quickly swelled into a crowd of 500+. Protesters lined both sides of the corridor, forcing every shopper and commuter at South Hill Mall to witness the names of those killed by the current administration.

This war on workers has linked the immigration struggle to the national strikes currently rocking the country. Signs in Milton called for a General Strike, arguing that if the government will not protect its citizens, the citizens will stop the government.

The Face of the Regime: Jonathan Ross

The man at the center of the Minneapolis tragedy, Jonathan Ross, is an experienced ICE officer and firearms instructor. Documents reveal that Ross was previously injured in a June 2025 incident where he was dragged by a vehicle. Critics argue that Ross’s history indicates a pattern of aggressive tactics, including reaching into moving vehicles—a maneuver that directly led to the fatal shots fired at Renee Good.

Local Complicity: The Sheriff’s “Dead Right” Warning

The tension in Puyallup was further inflamed by Pierce County Sheriff Keith Swank, who recently posted a warning on social media: “If law enforcement tells you to stop, STOP. Even if you are right, do you want to be dead right?” Protesters characterized Swank’s comments as a threat to the community. While Washington law prohibits local agencies from assisting federal immigration raids, Swank has signaled a desire to bypass these protections, leading to chants of “Sheriff Swank, whose side are you on?” throughout the day.

Know Your Rights: If ICE Knocks

Do Not Open the Door: ICE cannot enter your home without a judicial warrant signed by a judge. An “administrative warrant” signed by an ICE official does not give them the right to enter.

Stay Silent: You have a constitutional right to remain silent. Tell the officer: “I am exercising my right to remain silent.”

Record Everything: If it is safe, record the interaction. Documentation is the only weapon against a “self-defense” narrative that contradicts the truth.

Ask if You Are Free to Leave: If stopped in public, ask this question. If the answer is yes, walk away calmly.

REMEMBER: ICE are not police, their uniforms may say “ICE Police” or even just “Police” but the only laws they are meant to enforce are Border and Immigration laws, without a JUDICIAL Warrant, they should have no authority over US Citizens that are not near a border

As the sun set over Puyallup and Milton, the portraits of Renee Good remained held high. The message from the people was clear: the era of silent compliance is over. The “ICE Out for Good” movement is no longer just about immigration; it is about the right to live without fear of one’s own government.

The regime may have the guns, but they do not have the streets.

Long live democracy. ¡Viva la Revolución!

As this year concludes, I am reflecting on a journey that has taken me from the forefront of indie game marketing to the heart of digital and ecological advocacy. My goal has always been to become a versatile force in media, and 2025 has been the year that foundation became a reality.

Professional Milestones in Gaming and Media

My role as the PR and Marketing Manager for Duality Beyond Studios has been incredibly rewarding. This year, our flagship project Beyond Frontiers was featured in PCGamer Magazine. I had the privilege of representing the studio at Revision 2025, where I helped present Starship Hivemind in the game competition through Internet Relay Chat (IRC). We also secured placements in the photo and paintover competitions, The momentum continued at Polaris 2025.

Beyond marketing, I have continued my work as a Voice Actor and Video Editor, creating the teasers and trailers that bring our projects to life.

Literary and Journalistic Achievements

This was a landmark year for my writing. I successfully mass-published my first four books, which are now available on platforms including Amazon Kindle, Barnes & Noble, and other services through Books2Read. I also self-published 1 philosophy book and three news articles here on my personal website.

To support my commitment to ethical media, I earned several high-level certifications this October:

NBCU Academy: Fundamentals of Journalism.

Thomson Foundation: Completed seven intensive courses covering News Writing, News Analysis, Advanced Writing, Rethinking Disinformation, Mobile Journalism, and Audience Engagement.

inStreamly: Earned a certificate in Gaming Marketing.

and many more

Advocacy and Environmental Leadership

My commitment to a sustainable future was formalized through three key roles this year. I am honored to serve as a My Green Labs Ambassador and an ecoAmerica Ambassador. These roles allow me to advocate for laboratory sustainability and climate action.

I also deepened my scientific understanding by earning certificates for The Power of Ecology: Shaping a Sustainable Future, Biology 360: From Molecules to Ecosystems, and Geology 101 through Universal Class.

Global Connectivity and The Internet Society

In December, I joined The Internet Society. My involvement is focused on the future of an open and accessible internet. I am currently an active member of the US Hawaii Chapter and have pending applications for the Interplanetary, New York, San Francisco Bay Area, Washington D.C., and Los Angeles Chapters.

Additionally, I am contributing to the following Special Interest Groups and Standing Groups:

Digital Rights and Safety: Cybersecurity, Online Safety, Encryption for Everyone, and Internet Policy.

Inclusion and Accessibility: Accessibility Standing Group and Gender Standing Group.

Emerging Tech and Education: Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things, and Internet for Education.

Community and Future Growth: Affordable Internet Access, Youth Standing Group, and Community Portal Updates.

Diplomatic and Civic Responsibilities

This year also marked my entry into micronationalism in the service of the Kingdom of Emuþia and the Grand Duchy of Flandrensis, marking me as a Knight Of The Order Of The Melting Mountain. In late 2025, I was appointed as the Minister of Foreign Affairs for Emuþia, More recently, I accepted the role of Director for the Offices of Organized Crime Control for Emuþia. These positions allow me to apply my communication and organizational skills to unique governance challenges.

Spiritual and Personal Growth

In October, I was ordained by six interfaith, non-denominational churches and then codified my own ministry reachable here @ The Stanley Garland Ministry where I am working on a new certification standard, adding another layer to my diverse set of experiences. Throughout all these professional endeavors, I have continued my studies at Bates Technical College and maintained my creative passions for photography, cinematography, and playing guitar.

Looking Toward 2026

I am entering the new year as a published author, a certified journalist, a game industry professional, and a diplomatic officer. The diverse skills I have gathered this year are not just accolades but tools I am ready to use.

Thank you to everyone who has supported these ventures.

To the readers, colleagues, and friends of this platform,

As we reach the heart of the holiday season, I want to extend my warmest wishes to you and your families. This time of year offers a unique opportunity to pause and appreciate the connections that sustain us, whether through our professional endeavors, creative projects, or personal communities.

This time of year is often defined by light and celebration, yet it also serves as a poignant reminder of our shared responsibility to one another.

While many of us gather in comfort, we must acknowledge that the holidays can be a season of profound difficulty for others. We see this struggle within our own circles, as is the case for a close friend of mine, who is currently facing the reality of homelessness. His situation is a stark reminder that the true essence of this season lies in the spirit of giving and the strength of our empathy.

I encourage everyone to look for ways to support those in need, whether through direct action, community service, or simple acts of kindness. Let us ensure that the spirit of the holidays is measured by how we lift those who are struggling.

While I look forward to sharing a comprehensive look back at the milestones of this past year in a few days, today is simply about gratitude and peace. Whether you are celebrating Christmas or enjoying the quiet of the winter season, I hope these days bring you rest and rejuvenation.

Thank you for being part of this journey. I wish you a very Merry Christmas and a peaceful holiday break.

Warmly, in service and faith,

Stanley Garland

Introduction: The Screen, The Shadow, and the Surge

We were promised a global village—a forum for democratic discourse, a library of Alexandria available to all. For a generation, we cheered the internet as the ultimate tool of liberation, capable of connecting every voice and dissolving authoritarian distance. Yet, the reality we inhabit today feels less like a village and more like a continuous digital battlefield.

This is not an accident of human nature manifesting online; it is an effect of design.

This book argues that the dominant platforms and interaction models of the internet have done more than merely reflect our aggressive tendencies; they have actively coded them into our cognitive processes. The internet is not a passive tool we wield; it is an environment that imposes a set of deeply persuasive behavioral rules. These rules—optimized for engagement, friction, and emotional arousal—have systematically fostered a state of perpetual cognitive offense in the human mind.

We are forced into a constant state of defense, where every scroll is an exercise in identifying a threat, and every response is framed as a counterattack. Our digital life is governed by what we call “The Offense Engine”: the self-perpetuating system of economic and psychological incentives that rewards outrage, prioritizes polarization, and trains our most ancient biological hardware—our threat detection system—to be perpetually “on.”

To understand this transformation is to begin the process of liberation. This work serves as an analysis of the ethical fallout, the psychological costs, and the resulting philosophical shift in what it means to be a modern human being connected to a global network built on antagonism.

October 2025 felt less like a month and more like a high-speed professional development sprint, where I was intentionally collecting certifications and titles as if they were achievements in a game. This past month brought me substantially closer to my goal of becoming a “Swiss Army Knife in media.” I didn’t just acquire new skills; I stacked serious journalism credentials from the Thomson Foundation and NBCU, earned essential certifications for both marketing and ecology, and—most memorably—managed to achieve the title of The Rt. Rev. Dr. Stanley (F.) Garland, D.Div. (Hon.) after my ordination and receiving multiple honorary degrees.

Ministerial Status and Academic Titles: Becoming The Right Reverend Doctor

Of all the accomplishments this month, perhaps the most distinct is my official elevation to ministerial and academic status, culminating in my completely legal new title. I was proudly ordained as a priest by The Church of The Latter-Day Dude (Yes, the organization inspired by The Big Lebowski) What is Dudeism? – Dudeism. This ordination is a genuine and legally recognized ministry, fully empowering me to perform a wide variety of ceremonies (which I may make use of one day to renew my parents’ vows or to perform a marriage Ceremony for my best friend, or maybe even add it to my freelancing skills.)

This ordination was combined with six honorary degrees I received from Abide University on October 29th, specifically a Doctor of Divinity (D.Div. in Ministry Science)—which granted me the status of Right Reverend Doctor Dudeist Priest—.

This beautiful combination solidifies my current legal professional title: The Rt. Rev. Dr. Stanley (F.) Garland, D.Div. (Hon.). Let me break down the legality, as this is the part people will likely ask about:

The “Right Reverend” (Rt. Rev.) title is directly tied to my ordination and subsequent ministerial achievement.

The “Doctor” (Dr.) is conferred by the honorary Doctor of Divinity.

Critically, the entire title is fully legitimate and legal. While I have the option to purchase an official title certificate for a small fee, the ministerial status is established by the ordination itself, and the academic title by the issuing university. The title is earned and established, regardless of whether a piece of paper for $18 is bought.

This is a title that integrates both my professional gravitas and my personal philosophy.

Forging the “Swiss Army Knife”: Certifications and Standards

The overarching theme of October was rapid, diversified skill acquisition—the absolute core of my goal was (and going forward is) to become a “Swiss Army Knife in media.” This month, I focused on layering world-class journalistic foundations with specialized skills in adjacent fields.

World-Class Journalism Mastery

The bulk of my effort went into securing credentials that affirm a commitment to ethical, multi-platform reporting, which also served as the baseline for an important internal goal. This month, I completed:

NBCU Academy: Fundamentals of Journalism

Thomson Foundation (7 Courses): I completed a large suite of advanced courses that cover the full lifecycle of a news story:

Mobile Journalism – Getting Started

The Stanley Garland Citizen Verified Journalist (SGC-VJ) Standard

One of my most satisfying internal accomplishments was achieving Level 1 in the new SGC-VJ Standard. This is not a public course, but rather an internal editorial benchmark I created to confirm that every journalist contributing to The Stanley Garland Citizen possesses a robust foundational knowledge from world-class media institutions.

Achieving SGC-VJ Level 1 (SGC-VJ1) requires:

Educational Baseline: Successful completion of the NBCU and all seven Thomson Foundation courses listed above.

Initial Practice: Publication of a minimum of one (1) news article on The Stanley Garland Citizen.

By meeting this rigorous baseline, I established myself as the first SGC-VJ1—a personal commitment to quality and ethical reporting right at the core of my own platform.

Publishing Success: Audiobook Talks and Volume 5 Status

October brought an exciting new direction for The Veridian Sight Saga that I can finally share! As you all know, I am currently in talks with Trenten Hewwit of TreganFilms, and we’ve been discussing a lot regarding an audiobook adaptation of the series (and maybe more). We recently read through the first volume together, and his enthusiastic response suggests that this adaptation is highly likely to move forward, which is thrilling news for fans who prefer listening over reading.

On the writing front, I am also pleased to confirm that Volume 5 of the Saga is officially written and complete. However, I am holding off on its publication for the time being. My primary priority before diving into the next major production and launch cycle is taking care of some necessary dental work. Once that is complete and I am fully back in fighting shape, I’ll be ready to bring Volume 5 to the world.

Conclusion and What’s Next

Looking back, October wasn’t just busy—it was profoundly transformative. I successfully established the core journalistic rigor for my platform, diversified my skills in critical modern fields, and secured a unique and legally recognized professional title that in some ways reflects my multifaceted path. The “Swiss Army Knife” is getting sharp, and every new credential means more angles for quality reporting and better content creation (as well as more building blocks for me to acquire more means of funding everything I do for you all). Now that this level is complete, I’m excited to dive into November and apply this new knowledge.

Stewart Heights Park on the South End and East Side of Tacoma hosted a passionate and energetic demonstration on Saturday, October 18, when an estimated 5,000+ protesters (including me as usual) participated in a local “No Kings” rally. The Tacoma protest was part of more than 2,500 simultaneous nationwide and international protests that were part of a global movement that organizers say drew close to 7 million protesters worldwide.

The event focused on what speakers and organizers called an overreach of government authority and breaches of primary social and environmental policies by the current government.

The protest at 5715 Reginald Gutierrez Lane was scheduled between 1 and 3 PM PDT, although a majority of the demonstrators lingered longer, filling the park with posters and vibes. The protest was family-friendly, with activities like face-painting amidst a protest with neighborhood authorities and details of the soon-to-be-held November 2025 elections.

Speakers during the Stewart Heights Park rally centered on the major concerns, including recent federal amendments that targeted the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and undoing clean energy initiatives.

Comedian and presenter Adam Conover, who has a TV show called “Adam Ruins Everything,” was also listed as a guest speaker at the Stewart Heights Park rally, Conover was one of 12 scheduled speakers at the Stewart Heights Park event, the Stewart Heights Park event was just one of several No Kings events that were held across Pierce County on October 18 (Tacoma News Tribune, Oct. 18, 2025).

The attack on the ACA comes on the heels of new federal legislation—the “One Big Beautiful Bill Act”—that has altered significant provisions of the marketplace. This includes the elimination, effective December of 2025, of Enhanced Premium Tax Credits and shortening of the open enrollment period, which will significantly increase the cost of health insurance for millions and restrict access to low-income and immigrant populations, including beneficiaries of DACA.

Of equal urgency for most demonstrators, too, was the administration’s push for Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) and other fossil fuels. Presenters referenced the new federal limits on tax credits for solar and wind plants as well as the administration’s attempts to cancel necessary clean energy programs like “Solar for All.” For Tacoma, an environmentally aware city, this apparent retreat from a clean energy future and towards LNG was a primary point of contention.

A Peaceful, United Front

True to the leadership motto of the national movement, the Tacoma protest was marked by adherence to nonviolent action. Protest organizers specifically instructed protesters to avoid confrontation and be law-abiding to ensure the rally was a safe and wholesome venue for free speech. The massive response in Tacoma, as in the millions that marched in cities across the world, indicates a growing, organized effort to maintain democratic traditions and public services. The message was clear: “No Thrones. No Crowns. No Kings. The country belongs to We the People.”

The protest is the second mass wave of “No Kings” protests this year, following the June protests that featured well-known speakers like former Governor Jay Inslee and Pierce County Executive Ryan Mello (Tacoma News Tribune, Oct. 18, 2025), and sets the stage for increased civic activity leading up to the November 2025 elections.

Hey everyone,

I’m absolutely thrilled to share some incredible news that’s been bubbling behind the scenes! For a while now, many of you have enjoyed my books right here on my website. And I’m so grateful for that! But I’ve been working hard to make my stories even more accessible, and I’m beyond excited to announce that all four of my books are now mass published and available on major platforms!

That’s right! You can now find my titles on:

Books2Read (making them available through a wide network of retailers!)

Barnes & Noble (thanks to the fantastic folks at Draft2Digital!)

Amazon Kindle (get ready for easy e-reading!)

Wattpad (for those who love to read and connect with stories online!)

This is a dream come true, and it means so much to me to know that my stories can now reach even more readers around the world. I’ve poured my heart and soul into these books, and I can’t wait for new readers to discover them. Thank you for being such an amazing community and for your continued support on this journey!

You can find them all on my Linktree here: https://linktr.ee/StanleyG05

But that’s not all the exciting news I have to share!

My studio will also be hitting the road very soon for an incredible event with our flagship project, Beyond.Frontiers: Polaris Convention in Hamburg, Germany! 🇩🇪

If you’re in the area or planning to attend, please come by and say hello! We’d love to meet you, chat about books, games, and maybe even give you a sneak peek at what’s coming next. Conventions are always such a vibrant experience, full of creativity and connection, and I can’t wait to be a part of it in any capacity I can. I’ll share more details about our exact location at the convention as soon as I have them, so keep an eye on my social media!

This truly feels like a new chapter, and I’m so excited to share it with all of you. Thank you for everything!

Happy reading, Stanley Garland/Duality Beyond Studios

Tacoma, WA – Over 4,000 people convened at People’s Park on Saturday, June 14, 2025, for a “No Kings” protest that began formally at 11 AM and extended well beyond its scheduled 1 PM end time. The protest, a powerful display of community engagement, carried a clear and unified message from organizers: to build social connections and come together against the administration.

The protest at People’s Park drew a large and diverse crowd estimated at over 4,000 participants. The atmosphere was vibrant and purposeful, with a shared commitment to the central theme of fostering social cohesion as a means of opposing the administration’s policies. A band, whose name was unfortunately not captured by me, performed during the event, adding a dynamic musical backdrop to the demonstration.

Signs held by protesters conveyed a wide spectrum of sentiments and grievances. The core “No Kings” message was prominently displayed, often featuring a defaced crown symbol. One sign invoked historical defiance with the phrase “NOPE Since 1776” positioned beneath the anti-monarchy emblem. Another striking visual included a large effigy resembling Donald Trump, with “CON” visible on its back, standing alongside a figure holding a banner that declared “UPHOLD DEMOCRACY.” Other messages on display included powerful statements such as “Hate and Racism are Viruses” and a comprehensive “NO KINGS NO FASCISTS NO TYRANTS NO NAZIS.”

Beyond the central “No Kings” theme, the protest served as a platform for various social justice issues. Immigration concerns were a significant focus, with signs articulating “YOU CROSSED AN OCEAN, WE CROSSED BORDERS,” and “Borders Are Imaginary Lines.” Calls for immigrant rights were strong, with messages like “Immigrants Built America! Keep the Immigrants! Deport the Racists!” and “NO ONE IS ILLEGAL ON STOLEN LAND!” Support for Palestinian rights was also evident, with signs stating “STOP STARVING GAZA” and “Palestinians Have All Been Held Hostage Since 1967,” alongside calls to “Free Palestine.” Additionally, concerns about social security were voiced, with demands to protect the vital program. Amidst the serious topics, a touch of humor appeared on signs such as “I prefer CRUSHED ICE,” and a playful suggestion that “MOTHMAN would be a better President.”

The protest was notably peaceful throughout, with no counter-protesters present. In a show of solidarity, local firefighters joined the demonstration, appearing in their duty uniforms, mirroring the last protest I reported on where police officers in duty uniforms came to protest with us. Various organizational booths dotted the park, including “Washington Wildlife First,” which advocated for the state’s fish and wildlife, and another banner indicating support for the “Climate Alliance for the South Sound,” showcasing the breadth of issues resonating with attendees.

Many participants, including myself, remained at People’s Park well past the scheduled 1 PM end time. I stayed until 1:30 PM, and many more appeared willing to continue for another hour. This prolonged presence underscored the deep commitment and unified resolve of those who gathered to advocate for change and connection in the community, as I hear Trump’s parade didn’t go nearly as well.

Prologue: Echoes of Guidance, Whispers of Retribution

Part 1: A Baltimore Kitchen – The Weight of Right and Wrong

The small Baltimore kitchen was bathed in the soft morning light. A young Elias, barely five years old, with tousled brown hair, sat at the table with a kind-faced, middle-aged woman, his foster mother. She had a gentle smile, and they were engaged in quiet conversation, creating a warm and domestic atmosphere. The table was set with a simple breakfast of cereal and milk, and a few crayons and coloring books were scattered nearby, hinting at the boy’s playful nature. The kitchen, a welcoming space with a light-colored tile floor and soft yellow walls, was complete with a vintage checkered tablecloth, adding a touch of homespun charm.

“Elias,” she said softly, her hand resting on his small one. “You have a special gift, I can see it. You’re quick, you’re strong, and you notice things others don’t. But with that gift comes a responsibility. You have to use it to help people, to protect them. Not to hurt them, not to take advantage.”

Elias, his young eyes wide and earnest, nodded slowly. He didn’t fully understand the scope of his abilities yet, but he understood the weight of her words. The concept of right and wrong, of using his strength for good, was being etched into his young mind. It was a lesson that would stay with him, a guiding principle in a life that would be anything but ordinary.

Part 2: The Hive Mind’s Fury – A Shattered Connection

Light-years away, on Xylos, the crimson light of the twin suns pulsed over the crystalline plains. Within the vast network of Kryll Prime’s consciousness, a ripple of shock and cold fury spread through the hive mind.

The signal from the verdant planet had abruptly ceased. The microscopic probe, its delicate sensors shattered, had fallen silent. The link, the tenuous thread connecting the Kryll to the enhanced native, was severed.

Kryll Prime, its collective awareness spanning continents, focused its immense processing power on the last fragments of data received from the probe. The images of the bipedal life forms, their primitive technology, their unexpected resistance – it was all analyzed with cold, calculating precision.

The probe’s final transmission revealed the bipedal’s bio-signature and its unique energy pattern. The target designation, the coordinates near the verdant planet’s surface, were now useless. The connection was broken.

A wave of frustration washed through the hive mind. The potential link, the key to understanding the alien-derived technology within the enhanced native, was lost. The directive shifted. The verdant planet, once a source of curiosity, now became a point of… irritation.

The Kryll Prime began to formulate a response, a new strategy. The bipedal life form, the one they had designated as a target, was no longer just an object of observation. It had become a… problem. And the Kryll Prime was not accustomed to problems.

Prologue: Desert Sands and Distant Signals

Part 1: Roswell – A Fleeting Touch (Days 1-2)

The high desert air of Roswell, New Mexico, shimmered under the relentless August sun. Inside a small, unassuming hospital room, a newborn Elias Thorne lay swaddled in a thin blanket, his tiny chest rising and falling with shallow breaths. His teenage mother, barely more than a child herself, gazed at him with a mixture of awe and fear.

Two days. That was all the time they had in this strange, dusty town. Two days before the social services would take him, a consequence of a life already marked by transience. But in those fleeting hours, something else occurred, something unseen, something that would forever alter the course of Elias’s existence.

In the late hours of his first night, as the hospital fell silent, a faint, almost imperceptible hum permeated the air. A subtle energy pulsed through the room, originating from a source unseen, unheard by the sleeping nurses. It washed over the infant Elias, a fleeting touch of something alien, something ancient. Within his nascent DNA, dormant pathways stirred, possibilities ignited by an energy, not of this Earth. It was a silent exchange, a microscopic infusion of technology, a seed planted in the fertile ground of human potential.

The next morning, under the harsh New Mexico sun, Elias and his mother were gone, swallowed by the anonymity of the system. The desert held its secrets, the brief encounter unnoticed, its consequences lying dormant within the child, waiting for the right catalyst to awaken.

Part 2: Xylos – The Seed of Resonance

On Xylos, the crimson light of its twin suns beat down on the crystalline plains. Kryll Prime, its consciousness a vast network spanning the hive, continued its analysis of the anomaly encountered on the verdant planet. The faint but persistent energy signature emanating from the bipedal life form resonated with an echo of technology the Kryll had seeded across galaxies eons ago, a failsafe, a potential bridge.

The microscopic probe dispatched towards the verdant planet transmitted fragmented data. Images of the life form, its rapid movements, and the unusual energy fluctuations surrounding it. Kryll Prime recognized the faint traces of its ancient technology within the life form’s bio-energetic field. A contingency activated, a seed unexpectedly taking root in fertile soil.

The directive shifted. The verdant planet was no longer just a source of sustenance. It held a key, a potential link to a future the Kryll had long envisioned. The probe was instructed to observe, to learn, and if the opportunity arose, to make contact. The sight of the enhanced native held a significance far beyond Kryll Prime’s initial assessment. The harvest could wait; understanding this unexpected development was paramount.

Prologue: Shifting Sands and Crimson Stars

Part 1: Baltimore – The Unseen Currents (Age 4-5)

Elias was a quiet child, often lost in observation. The cacophony of Baltimore still pressed in on him, but now he was beginning to discern patterns within the noise, subtle currents of emotion that flowed between people like unseen tides. He could feel the sharp edges of anger radiating from a shouting couple on the street corner, the soft waves of sadness emanating from the old woman sitting alone on the park bench. It wasn’t a conscious understanding, not yet, but a raw, unfiltered sensory input that often left him feeling overwhelmed and strangely disconnected.

One sweltering summer afternoon, while his foster mother quarreled on the phone in the next room, Elias found himself drawn to the alleyway behind their building. A stray cat, its fur matted and its eyes wary, was cornered by a group of older children. Elias felt a surge of protectiveness, a visceral reaction to the cat’s fear.

Before he even thought, he moved. Not with the controlled blur of his later years, but with a sudden, instinctive burst of speed that surprised even himself. He darted into the alley, a small, black-haired whirlwind, startling the children. He didn’t fight, didn’t even yell. His sudden, unexpected appearance, coupled with the raw intensity of his protective instinct, was enough to scatter them.

He knelt beside the trembling cat, a strange sense of calm washing over him as he stroked its fur. He could feel its fear receding, replaced by a tentative trust. It was in that moment, amidst the grime and the summer heat, that Elias first understood a fundamental truth about himself: he reacted to the unseen currents, the emotions, and intentions of others, with an intensity that was… different. And sometimes, that difference manifested in ways he couldn’t fully explain.

Part 2: Xylos – The Dying Light

On Xylos, the crimson light of the twin suns cast long, skeletal shadows across the jagged landscape. The atmosphere, thin and metallic, carried the faint, rhythmic clicking of the Kryll drones as they moved across the crystalline plains.

Within the central hive, Kryll Prime, the ancient core consciousness, pulsed with a slow, deliberate rhythm. The energy readings from the verdant planet, the one they had briefly touched, were being analyzed, and processed through eons of accumulated data. The unusual resonance detected in one of the native life forms continued to intrigue it. Such sensitivity to subtle energy fluctuations was rare in young, carbon-based species.

Kryll Prime extended a crystalline tendril towards a holographic projection of the verdant planet. It focused on the region where the energy harvest had been… disrupted. The image resolved into a blurry outline of a bipedal form moving with an unusual velocity. The energy signature was faint but distinct, resonating with a peculiar intensity.

A directive rippled through the hive mind. A small, exploratory tendril, a microscopic probe, was dispatched, riding the residual energy waves that still echoed across the vast gulf of space. Its mission: to observe, to analyze, to understand the source of this unusual resonance. The Kryll’s survival depended on their ability to adapt, learn, and overcome any potential obstacles in their relentless search for sustenance. The fractured sight of the verdant planet, as perceived through the brief encounter, held a key, a potential insight into a new form of energy, a new form of life.

Hello everyone, and welcome to The Stanley Garland Citizen! This week has been a whirlwind of activity, and I wanted to share some exciting updates with you all.

First off, last Saturday I had the opportunity to witness and report on a powerful display of community spirit right here in Federal Way. Over 730 protesters lined the busy intersection of South 320th Street and Pacific Highway South for a rally titled “Federal Way Fights Back!” This demonstration was in response to perceived threats to funding impacting critical areas, the current economic downturn, and perceived judicial attacks on rights. The energy and passion of the attendees, holding signs with messages like “HANDS OFF! CANCER RESEARCH” and “HANDS OFF OUR SCHOOLS,” were truly inspiring. I had the privilege of covering this event and writing a story about it, capturing the collective voice of equal people protesting. You can find my full report and see more details here: /2025/04/federal-way-fights-back-over-700-individuals-attend-rally-against-perceived-attacks-on-funding-and-rights. a healthy society must engage in these kinds of dialogues, and I’m proud to have been there to document this important moment in our community.

On a more personal note, I’m absolutely thrilled to announce the release of my very first book: “Veridian Sight – VOL.1 ; The Product of Evolution”! This has been a labor of love, and I’m incredibly excited to finally share it with the world through The Stanley Garland Citizen. It’s a project born from countless hours of brainstorming, writing, and refining, exploring the fascinating concept hinted at in the title. You can learn more about “Veridian Sight – VOL.1” and dive into the story here: /2025/04/veridian-sight-vol-1-the-product-of-evolution. I’d love to hear your thoughts once you’ve had a chance to check it out!

Finally, representing Duality Beyond Studios, we’re gearing up for an exciting trip to Revision 2025! This renowned demoscene event takes place from April 18th to April 21st, and we’re eager to showcase some of the amazing work we’ve been doing on Beyond Frontiers and a special project we are making just for Revision. Our appearance at Revision 2025 is a fantastic opportunity to connect with other talented creators and share our passion for pushing the boundaries of digital art and technology. We’re especially excited as Beyond Frontiers was recently featured in PCGamer Magazine. We’ll be sure to share updates from the event, so stay tuned!

It’s been a busy but incredibly rewarding time, and I’m grateful to be able to share these experiences with you through The Stanley Garland Citizen. Whether it’s reporting on important community events, unleashing creative projects into the world, or participating in the vibrant digital art scene, I aim to bring you diverse and engaging content.

Prologue: The Shifting Sands

New Mexico – Birth (0 – 2 days)

The world was a furnace of dry heat and the rasp of unfamiliar voices. For two days, the terracotta hues of adobe and the sharp, unfamiliar scent of desert sage were Elias Thorne’s entire universe. Then, a sudden shift – the cool, recycled air of an airplane, the muffled drone of the engines, and a new scent: something metallic and faintly antiseptic. His first memory wasn’t a sight, but a jarring transition, a world abruptly exchanged for another before he’d even begun to know the first.

Baltimore – The First Hum (2 Days – 0.5 Years)

Baltimore was a symphony of sirens and the clatter of unseen things. The air hung thick and humid, carrying the briny tang of the harbor and the exhaust of passing cars. His senses, still raw and unfocused, were bombarded. Light seemed sharper, and sounds more insistent. Even as an infant, a flicker of unease would surface in crowded spaces, a sense of too many intentions, too many unseen currents flowing around him. It was a feeling he couldn’t understand, a whisper in the chaos.

Oklahoma – The Wide Expanse (0.5 – 1.5 Years)

The world opened up. The sky stretched vast and endless, the wind carried the scent of dry grass and distant rain. There was a quiet here that Baltimore lacked, a sense of space that felt both liberating and isolating. He crawled across wide, wooden floors, the silence amplifying the slightest sounds – the creak of a chair, the sigh of the wind through the windowpanes. Here, a different kind of awareness began to develop, a sense of the openness around him, a feeling for the subtle shifts in the weather and the distant calls of birds.

Baltimore – The Return (1.5 – 6 Years)

The familiar urban hum returned, but now it was overlaid with the burgeoning understanding of a small child. He navigated the brick row houses and bustling streets with a surprising adeptness, often knowing which neighbor would offer a treat or which corner held a stray cat, long before any verbal cues. His quickness was also becoming apparent – a blur of motion in games of tag, a preternatural ability to avoid obstacles. There were moments, fleeting and inexplicable, where he seemed to know what someone was going to say or do a split second before they did it, a hunch that proved correct with unsettling regularity.

Washington – The Evergreen Settling (6 – 21 Years)

The scent of pine and damp earth became the new constant. Washington was a tapestry of mountains, forests, and the ever-present moisture in the air. Moving between different towns and neighborhoods within the state, the adaptability honed in his early years served him well. He learned the rhythm of the logging towns, the laid-back vibe of the coastal communities, and the quiet intensity of the mountain regions. Through it all, the underlying hum of his enhanced senses continued to develop, the intuitive flashes growing stronger, his physical capabilities becoming more pronounced, though still largely unexamined. It was in the quiet corners of Washington, often under the influence of a specific strain of concentrated marijuana, that the truly bizarre sensation began – a form of sight blooming behind closed eyelids, a world perceived without light.

Present Day – Clover Creek (21 Years)

Now, at twenty-one, Elias Thorne had settled, for the moment at least, in the unassuming town of Clover Creek. The scent of damp earth and pine was home. But the echoes of his transient past, the subtle whispers of his developing abilities, and the strange, potent potential of the “Veridian Sight” were all simmering beneath the surface of his seemingly ordinary life, waiting for the moment they would truly be called upon.

The event, titled “Hands Off! Federal Way Fights Back” and organized by volunteers through the ‘Mobilize’ platform, ran officially from 12 PM to 2 PM, though many participants remained longer. Attendees cited concerns over an attack on funds impacting critical areas, the current economic downturn, and perceived judicial attacks on rights as key motivators for the demonstration.

With a determined but peaceful atmosphere, participants (including me) held signs targeting specific areas of concern. Messages included, “HANDS OFF! CANCER RESEARCH”, “HANDS OFF DUE PROCESS”, “HANDS OFF REPRODUCTIVE RIGHTS”, “HANDS OFF OUR SCHOOLS”, “HANDS OFF OUR EQUALITY”, “HANDS OFF OUR CIVIL RIGHTS”, “HANDS OFF OUR PLANET”, “HANDS OFF OUR PEOPLE”, “HANDS OFF OUR CONSTITUTION”, “THREE EQUAL BRANCHES”, and many, many more reflecting a broad spectrum of grievances.

The protest was characterized by its grassroots nature, with no designated speakers or leaders, emphasizing a collective voice of equal people protesting. Chants of “Ban Trump” were frequently heard throughout the afternoon. The demonstration garnered visible support from the community, with numerous passing cars honking and waving in solidarity with protesters lining the road. I personally only counted 10 Trump supporters counter-protesting (albeit not for very long), I would estimate about 10-20 total showed up to counter-protest, symbolizing the death of an ideology.

Federal Way Police were present at the location. Attendees described the intersection with law enforcement as supportive, the officers even taking a moment to stand at a curb with protesters peacefully in solidarity. The stated goal of the demonstrators was to use their collective voice to overpower Trump and Elon.
